DAY 1: Flight Day (May 6th)
Depending on your departure city your arrival time may vary, but for most people you would arrive in the afternoon of the following day with 1 or 2 layovers. This will be a long traveling day, try and get rest on the flight so that you will be ready for the arrival day.
DAY 2: Arrival in Marrakesh (May 7th)
Upon arrival in Marrakesh you will be greeted either by your host or a private driver to take you the short distance to your accommodation, a Riad, a traditional Moroccan home with multiples stories that centers around an open-air courtyard that contains a fountain. Riads were once the estates of the wealthiest citizens, merchants, and courtiers. The building is in the shape of a rectangle with different rooms on each of the four sides. Riads are definitely a part of traveling to Morocco, and no visit to the country is complete without staying in one. That day, depending on how awake you are, you may have the opportunity to visit the market, and have a traditional dinner at a street cafe by the Djemaa el-Fnaa, the main market square of Marrakesh. This will the day to acclimatize to your surroundings, and be overwhelmed by the sights, sounds, smells, magic of the old city.
DAY3: Marrakesh (May 8th)
Today you will get up have a breakfast at the Riad and maybe head out to see some of the local sights, like the famous "secret garden," one or more palaces, the Saadian tombs, a carriage ride, and some other activities, the sights and activities will be dependent on the day and the desires of the group. You will have lunch and in the market and a special welcome dinner, dining on of some more exotic foods, and after maybe some tea from a rooftop café.
DAY4: Marrakesh (May 9th)
Again you will get up have a breakfast at the Riad or some fresh pastry and fruits, you will then grab your bags, check-out, and
you will go with your hosts to pick up a car for the next few days of adventure. After your party picks up the car you will head up to the High Atlas mountains, along the way you will see Amazigh villages and the amazing mountains that make up this area. You will staying at a local home and hiker's hotel in a Amazigh village, nearby by to another larger Amazigh village where you will have the chance to visit. There will also be a special Nomad surprise activity.
