Place me on Sunium’s marbled steep, Where nothing, save the waves and I, May hear our mutual murmurs sweep; There, swan-like, let me sing and die: A land of slaves shall ne’er be mine-- Dash down yon cup of Samian wine!

Day 15:
Farewell to the gods and heroes
Today you will head to the airport to go home, say your farewells to your new friends, and hopefully Greece will hold a special place in your heart and soul as it did for Byron. One thing is sure, you will miss those sunsets.
Farewell! if ever fondest prayer
For other’s weal availed on high,
Mine will not all be lost in air,
But waft thy name beyond the sky.
‘Twere vain to speak, to weep, to sigh:
Oh! more than tears of blood can tell,
When wrung from guilt’s expiring eye,
Are in that word – Farewell! – Farewell!
